We have switched to a new Premium SLC SD card for the Sheevaplugs in the NewIT shop.

http://www.newit.co.uk/shop/proddetail.php?prod=Class_10_Integral

The Integral Endurance SD cards are a Class 10 SLC 30MB/s available in 4Gb,8Gb and 16Gb.

I have tested the cards and they seem to be very reliable and Blisteringly fast.

These are some comparison performance tests using a large package install which represents a good mix of read/write random access.
I installed package xfce4 onto a guiplug and these are some comparison install times .

Integral Endurance CLass10 SLC - 3 mins
Transcend Class 6 SLC - 5 mins
Transcend Micro SD Class6 - 31 mins
Transcend Class10 - 31 mins
Kingston Class4 - 33 mins

Same test on eSata drive 2 mins

Hi,

I bought one 8Gbytes SD card of this model by mistake in another store 2 days ago, I thought that it was a microSD!.
It's in its original packaging, not opened. It costed me 35 euros, I sell it for 30 euros, if possible in Spain, I will pay the shipping if anyone is interested.

Regards,
