Well i've followed the guide for sakis3g to use my 3g modem usb dongle on the guruplug and on the Sharing net connection tried to make it more secure
http://www.sakis3g.org/guruplug.html#sharing
but before i saved the init_setup.sh i made a copy to init_setup.sh.ori

now the plug boots but i can't seem to be able to connect to it, the ssid of the ap is hidden cause i can connect manually to it, but it doesn't accept my wifi key i used on the file, plus cant seem to get it to connect over eth0/1, so.. tell i just bricked it cause i just took a backup of the init and changed the wifi settings..

any help here?

p.s. a photo of it, i got upper green light, left and right kinda greenish but a bit yellow too, and down led flickers..

Hi SomniusX

Have you tried using the Guiplug software as an easier solution?

How to use it with a 3g dongle here:
http://www.newit.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,650.0.html

Download it here:

How to use it with the Guruplug:

I'm glad you answered so quickly..

Well the guiplug and all of that stuff i didn't know and now i feel so sad you cant imagine..

Is there some way to reset it to nand defaults or something cause now it seems booted ok, but cant connect over eth0 or eth1, and not even wifi. The Plug-uAP-xxxx ssid doesn't apear near me..

Damn, i didn't even had the change to have some fun with it, in 10 minutes only used the shell a bit.. Sad

Is there hope without the jtag module??

oh God.. well I hope it won't get too long to arrive in Greece!!

It's a shame not to be able to tamper with it without a jtag module, maybe a redboot bypass or something..

anywayz, can't help saying more..

p.s. for the fun part! :p any discount for the man who didn't have the time to play with it..? Cheesy
