Hi, I have bought a Sheevaplug that doesnt seems to work.  Huh

The network-led shows some activity, one green led i light up and i cant connect via serial. Are there any docs on how read out the status of the plug by just looking at the led´s ?

Hi sm0try,

Firstly do you have another serial cable you could try?

What are you using to try to connect to the plug? Windows or Linux?

If you are using Linux try installing screen then

Code:
screen /dev/ttyUSB0 115200

I find that the most reliable way of connecting.

Try a serial connection from another Sheevaplug.

Just the green one means you have power , but never get fully booted.
not having serial doesn`t help with finding what the problem is , I think DOA !!!
Did you say you had a second plug ?,
