The Guruplug package doesn't include any documentation as such, except this link:
http://www.globalscaletechnologies.com/t-downloads.aspxThe key download is found by clicking on
GuruPlug - Quick Start Guide and others, and then choosing the Quickstart .pdf file.
This document describes the procedure for connecting to your Sheevaplug (ie via console, using the JTAG and cables), and access to the Bluetooth and wi-fi configuration.
So far the only useful information I can impart is that my old cu connection method (running under Ubuntu Lucid Lynx) doesn't work with the Guruplug, but minicom does work, as described in the aforementioned .pdf document (although the doc advises Fedora).
I am assuming that if I figure out the appropriate settings I could go back to cu, and the other issue I'll be looking at to begin with is network configuration. The ex-factory configuration clashes with a device already on my network (and I don't know what is going on with eth0 and eth1), so (for me) networking is a critical starting point that needs resolution.
The Guruplug excels itself with its looks, even the JTAG looks nice, but the connecting wires are fiddly and untidy. Do read the .pdf for instructions on how to connect things.
I don't know what is the fastest deliveries we have been seeing (to mainland Europe), if it is one or two days, either way it's not long to wait now.
