Hi All,

I wondered whether anyone is using they're Sheeva as a print server and if so whether they're using a USB to parallel adapter (ie Belkin) to drive a Laserjet?

I have an old Lj4 and it would be good to be able to share it for a number of PCs but I've no idea whether the USB->Parallel would come with Linux drivers? Or is support built in? I don't really know where to start.

Any advice appreciated!
Thanks,
Tony

I have have been working on it for a day and it's too buggy. There are problems because the usb --> parallel converter does not pass the printer usb-id etc.

Instead I went for the simple solution: buy a Jetdirect plugin for your laserjet and hook it up to the ethernet.
