Hello!

I just got my Sheevaplug (Ubuntu 9.04 on UBIFS) and all is well, apart from a few issues. I'd be very much grateful if you could help.

1 - on my boot log, I get these messages:

Code:
Scanning device for bad blocks
Bad eraseblock 1721 at 0x00000d720000

is this cool?

2 - I can't remotely power the plug off, I get this:

Code:
* Stopping early crypto disks...                                        [ OK ]
 * Will now halt
halt: Unable to System halted.
iterate IDE devices: No such file or directory

and it just stays there, stuck  Huh got it, edited /etc/init.d/halt as per another topic on the forum

3 - how can I disable IPv6 completely? It's annoying to have it on a IPv4-only box...

4 - before booting linux, U-Boot says "Bad Magic Number" - is that good?

Thanks for any feedback!

Most plugs have around 4-5 bad blocks. It's perfectly normal.

That's normal too.

Maybe this will help.

Did you buy a multiboot plug? That's the response given after trying to boot from SD card, and is normal. If not, please post your bootlog and environment variables.

I'm not sure if the plug is multiboot, but it does appear to try and boot from SD first.

Thanks for all your help!
