They will leave China next week and will travel through Hong Kong and God knows where else. This means there is not even a slight chance for them to be in UK this month.... I still can't believe that I have placed my order on 8th of March! I have NEVER been so patient in my live. I hope this is worth it!

I think that is unfair on NewIT. It isn't the 28th yet and there HAS been a lot of disruption to airfreight in the entire European area. To get product from China to UK taking less than 2 weeks is not at all bad considering. Hong Kong is hardly a backwood. If a reputable airfreighter is used the consignment will be tracked. Now if it were part of a container shipment, it would take a lot longer.
I'm waiting for my GP's too, so I'm glad that I know that they are starting their long journey.

Well i cannot be so patient. So i've decided to buy a eSata Sheeva plug to play with it , till this Volcano issue get fixed . I think my next plug will be something more powerfull thing that GuruPlug so i thing my next device will be a "Cirrus" http://www.ionicsplug.com/cirrus.html. Guru Plug have some interesting features like Wireless , which i don't need and it's a power consuption for the plug , and the most important , i don't need to buy an external Jtag interface which bassicaly was made only for this device (but can be used on others as well). Anyway i just wait your first opinion about this new Plug.

Heh, I'm thinking about buying 2 sheevaplugs and making cloud in home And thats just what my GP's (when I have them) will do! They will replace (I hope) two sheevaplugs (currently my DHCP/DNS servers), a linksys cable router with WiFi (Wifi will be handled by a 'n' range extender/access point, an old buffalo cable router. There will be three LAN segments, one for normal household computing/media distribution/PBX use, a DMZ to the I'net gateway, and a Home Automation/household security segment. The old white Sheevaplugs are likely to become controllers for the home automation system. All un-necessary but it keeps me off street corners!

During the outbreak I ordered stuff off eBay US and got 'em shipped to Sweden with a delay of only a couple of days =) Keep your fingers crossed that Katla doesn't wake up before we get our stuff! =D

Globalscale site indicates on the GuruServer page:
"Note: We are receiving weekly shipments of both GuruPlugs and SheevaPlugs. However, because of the popularity of both products deliveries will be around 2-4 weeks from date of ordering. Please check this site regularly for updates."
Does the shipping from New IT suffer the same delay in shipping product ?
As I ordered my GuruServer this morning, I think I willl have to wait a couple of weeks to receive my new toy ^_^

I suppose the earlier we ordered, the sooner we'll get our plugs! Its the end of April tomorrow and then we'll be into "Early May", given a following wind, they'll start arriving on lucky doorsteps by the 6th May to distract us from current events..... There's not much longer to wait.

Yes , that what they said about the 20th of april , then the 27 th , now , what ?, some time in may.
That what I said about Globalscale from the start , They aren`t known for their accuracy when it comes to delivery dates.

At globalscale website You can read:

It seems that We don't get plugs soon.

What about the people who placed their orders MONTHS ago? Can we finally get some clarification form NewIT?
