GuruPlug shipping estimates?

I really do not intend applying any pressure on you guys, as I can imagine that actual shipping dates are Globalscale derived. However, I am one of those that have the I-can't-wait problem, and shop indicated statement "April 2010" is inadequate into relieving my anxiety on receiving my newly ordered GuruPlug.

What I feel like asking, is whether there is the slightest indication on when (within April), GuruPlug pre-orders will start getting shipped.

Hello there

We are as keen as the next person to get hold of these, but all we have from Globalscale is the same statement, that they will be shipped in April.
As soon as we can pin them down we will post the date here and update the shop.

To make you feel better, if my experience is any indication, from the day NewIT receives them to the day you get them (here in Athens), there is a delay of less than 4 days (I 'll have to check when I get back home to be more accurate).

Additional info: In my case,

a) I had NOT preordered (I waited till NewIT received them and placed my order then). It is therefore reasonable to assume that I was served AFTER the customers who had preordered.
b) IIRC, there was a weekend involved. The "4 days" above refers to calendar days, not workdays.

Of course, YKMV (metric version of YMMV), but in general you shouldn't be concerned about NewIT->Athens delays. Their service in this respect is as impeccable as their support in the forum.

On GlobalScale Technologies site You can read that shipping will begin on late April so in NewIt GuruPlug should be available in early May.

We have been given an estimated delivery date of the 20th April, if this is correct we will despatch all orders within 48 hours or receiving them.

When we get a more accurate date nearer the time we will update this post.

For what I can remember , they was going to be due on the 20th April , so if it`s true, I guess a week’s delay isn`t that bad from what I`ve heard about globalscaletechnologies reliability when it comes to shipping dates.

We received a delivery update from Globalscale last night, this tells us that our shipment will be leaving China next week; this is sent over to Hong Kong then onto the UK by air. With previous orders once we are informed that the shipment has left China it normally takes about 7 days to get to us. But as I am sure most of us are aware of the disruption the volcano has caused the airlines, there maybe a small delay whilst they are clearing the backlog of freight being sent by air.
Once we have confirmation of the flight leaving Hong Kong we can then announce a firm delivery date to ourselves and therefore a despatch date for all orders.
