Yes i'm sadly aware of this, hence the purchase of an eSata version, although i'm only running a 100Mb/s switch so i think the network will probably be the bottle neck.
to have a nice RAID1 array, so i can't not use it
Get the lone drive working first, then find a way to stop the enclosure powering down.
