I also looked the logfiles but could not detect anything...

nothing on /var/log/messages
dmesg
syslog

however, writing to the logfiles happend last on 11th Sept, I guess there were nothing written down since then...

so now I tried to copy a 2.6.3 version of grep to the sd debian system
the error is gone but now it still hangs after firing up the network interface ....

no idea thow now
