http://Clone Sheevaplug SD Card using Windows 7

Assume you have two 4GB SD HC cards, one with your Sheevaplug system (debian or whatever on it) the "Origin", and one which you want to make a backup, the "Destination".

Requirements:
SD Formatter http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter_3/
USB Image Tool: http://www.alexpage.de/

1: Install SD Formatter and USB Image tool on your Windows 7 computer.
2: Format the destination SD card using SD Formatter (this formats the entire card, and zaps any partitions on it, unlike what would be done by a simple Windows format)
3: Eject the "Destination" SD Card, and replace with "Origin" SD Card
4: Go to the directory to which you extracted USBIT and right-click on USBIT.exe, open as administrator
5: Tick all the options under the Options tab
6: Make sure that Device Mode is selected, not Volume mode
7: Click on the Device icon shown under Device Mode
8: Click on the Backup button at the bottom of the USBIT dialogue box. When the backup has completed, eject the "Origin" SD Card, and replace with "Destination" SD Card
9: Click on the Device icon shown under Device Mode
10: Click on the Restore button at the bottom of the USBIT dialogue box, select the file name used in Item 8 above.  When the Restore has completed, eject the newly restored "Destination" SD Card, and insert it into your Sheevaplug.

Start up your Sheevaplug, ensure that it boots correctly and loads up your desired application. Bob's your uncle, with a bit of luck and a fair wind.

Thanks.

Just downloaded the latest GuiPlug image and followed these steps to install it on my sd.
Works great.
I think you should stick it in the GuiPlug sub forum.
