I ma not too sure what I have done, but when trying to build an SD image onto a new card (I also have the one I bought from NewIT), I get the following when booting:

USB 0: host mode
PEX 0: interface detected no Link.
Net:   egiga0 [PRIME]
Hit any key to stop autoboot:  0

Reset IDE:
Marvell Serial ATA Adapter
Warning Integrated SATA is Powered Off
no device found

** Bad partition 1 **
** Bad partition 1 **
## Booting image at 00800000 ...
Bad Magic Number

Its a esata model, I hope its recoverable!

Thanks in advance.

This means that you didn't build the SD card correctly. Since you didn't explain what you were trying to do, or what your environment variables are, it's not possible to say any more than that.

Likewise, regarding the reset IDE output, you didn't say if you'd changed U-Boot. I don't normally use U-Boot commands to check SATA drives, so I can't say for sure what's normal, but the primary problem is your SD card. Even if eSATA weren't working, you should be able to boot from a correctly prepared SD card.

Hi,

I was attempting to install debian on an SD card using these instructions: http://www.cyrius.com/debian/kirkwood/sheevaplug/install.html

It kept failing at the stage of application install (its a 4gb card), although I am not too sure why.

I thought that u-boot may have been an issue so I downloaded the u-boot sata file from your site and ran that, but still the same problem exists.

I then put in my working SD card that I bought from you, but the above problem shows exactly the same in the card from you.

Thanks.

This means that the kernel could not be read from the location specified in the environment variables. Normally an SD card boot command will end with something like this (example taken from our multiboot page):

Code:
ext2load mmc 0:1 0x800000 /uImage; bootm 0x00800000

However, I think that there are some differences compared to those used on the cyrius.com page. So what are your environment variables? And what file(s) are there on partition #1 of your SD card, and what stage of the procedure are you at?
