I've got my SheevaPlug up and running....almost. It came with Debian on a 4 gig SD card. I've logged in via Putty and installed Squeezeserver 7.4.2-29673. The PuTTY terminal tells me this is running. So far all and good.
When I enter the IP address of the SheevaPlug into a browser on a networked computer I get: "This webpage is not available". I can ping the IP address and get a good response. Has anyone a solution to this please?
http://computingplugs.com/index.php/Fixing_the_DNS_issueThe above URL says "There is a DNS issue with the default filesystem where the SheevaPlug will not correctly grab the DNS servers from DHCP. This causes the SheevaPlug to not be able to resolve any domain names. To fix the problem, edit the file /etc/dhcp3/dhclient.conf and comment out the line:
supersede domain-name-servers 127.0.0.1;
reboot the system and the Sheeva Plug will grab the DNS servers correctly from DHCP." I've examined the /etc/dhcp3/dhclient.conf file and everything in it is already commented out.
Happy Christmas,
