Hi,

Just got my Sheevaplug and found that the OS 'Jaunty' is no longer supported and I don't seem to be able to add any packages as I just get a timeout.

apt-get update

Could not connect to ports.ubuntu.com:80 (91.189.88.36), connection timed out
....

Is there an alternative apt source I can use? or should I change the OS??

thanks
Dave.

Ignore me, seems the IP address has changed and the default installation has an old IP address in the hosts file  Roll Eyes

Did you read the Getting started with the Sheevaplug page?

Yes I have been using those pages for my configuration and ran across the time out when I was updating "apt-get install usbutils".

Figured it out. Pinged ports.ubuntu.com and got the new IP and updated the hosts file.
