Hi,

I've just got my eSata Sheevaplug back out for some use and I'd like to update the booting to multiboot. I could never get the Sheevaplug installer to work correctly so I have used ESIA to update the uboot and setup the distros. I have a good OS on NAND and MMC, but ESIA only seems to setup the environment for booting one or the other. If I try to add the multiboot code via serial / Putty at the Marvell prompt using setenv it will accept some of it but the bootcmd_nand or mmc seems to run straight away and I lose anything I add ??
It's probably something simple I'm missing here so any help would be great, I've looked on the forums / Google etc. and can't see a quick fix without using the Sheevaplug installer . . .
Also my current uboot is the 3.4.27 pingtoo patch, is this correct for the black eSata plugs ??

Cheers, Jason.

See here for suitable environment variables. There is also information in that thread about composing long environment variable values.

The version of U-Boot that you are using should be OK.

Thanks for the info. I managed to get Win XP running via Parallels on my Macbook which sorted out the installer problem so the env. / multiboot has been setup properly !
