So far I've never accessed my plug through the web. I now think I have no need. I use the USB lead.

But I don't understand how the mini-USB connection works. Internal JTAG circuitry, isn't it? Does it need open-ssh? If I uninstall, will I wall myself from the OS?

Was considering processes. ssh is demonized and the obvious one to remove.

The console connection shares the socket with the JTAG connection; it's not he same as the JTAG connection.

The console connection is different from the ssh daemon. Killing or uninstalling sshd won't prevent you being able to use the console.

Accept I have no working model of what JTAG is or how the connections work. So, my thanks to you for information I can work with. Removing open-ssh!
