Hello,

I received yesterday my sheevaplug and i tried unsuccessfully to install F11 on it because i'm not a big fan of ubuntu but it was a failure Cheesy I will try again later ...

Well, before any modification to the sd card i was careful enough to create a raw image of the sd card but i forgot to do a backup of the env on the plug before modiyfing it, so if someone with a clean nice working environment for the default ubuntu shipped with the 4gb card could post it here, it will be nice

Thank you !

No problem.

I've modified my previous reply in order to eliminate some 80-column line wrapping.

Furthermore, I should have made clear in my first post, ethaddr defines the MAC address of the ethernet port. As such, the value given in my listing is not the value you should use. You should read the sticker on the back of your plug and ensure that the value in your U-Boot matches.

Oh dear. And I've modified it again to correct the console value, which had become corrupted on the device that I read it from. Corrupted because of tests that I was doing, but so far as I can tell, not damaging to the environment. And I believe that this is a non-critical value, since it's "bootargs_console" that is used in any event.

I would like to ask you if it is possible to paste a boot log and an printenv (default env variables) for a standard SheevaPlug which you sell. Maybe also the default Uboot image will be also useful. Thanks.

I've created 3 new topics, hopefully separating the data will avoid confusion.
